About the Flambo program

The primary objective of the Flambo program is to educate people of all ages about safe fire practices and the importance of fire prevention.

Why the name FLAMBO?

The program needed a name that was simple, short, and easy for everyone to pronounce. Flambo combines the words "flame" and "eau (water)," which are part of firefighters' vocabulary.

It also refers to a torch, which symbolizes light and enlightenment. Passing the torch figuratively supports the program's mission to guide, inform, and convey fire prevention instructions.
